Introduction
Solid waste management remains a critical environmental and public health issue in India’s growing cities. While municipal authorities struggle with mounting waste volumes, innovative technology solutions are showing promising results at local levels. One such solution is the MAK KILN-1000 scientific incinerator, installed and operational since 2023 at GRD College in Coimbatore with a 3 TPD (tonnes per day) processing capacity.
